About Me
Career-wise, I’ve been a speech writer, tech writer, college English teacher, and corporate communications director. I’ve written for a bank, a newspaper, a national energy laboratory, a county property assessment project, and a software company. When I retired from my corporate job in 2024, I shifted to personal writing projects. A travel blog is one of them. A novel and a memoir are in the works.
I’m a mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and a traveler to 27+ countries. I sing and play the piano. I love sailing and kayaking and generally being anywhere near water. I use TV as a distraction and mental break; when I find a juicy series it’s a little too hard to stop watching.
I’ve lived in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and North Carolina. Houston, Texas, is home now, but I’ll always be a Pittsburgh girl at heart.
Words I live by: Be fair. Be kind. Be humble.
“And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 6
